Party of One is the debut solo record from Jeremy Porter. As a founding member and front man for seminal Detroit bands Fidrych (2008-Present), The Offramps (2000-2008) and SlugBug (1992-2000), Jeremy has garnered a reputation as a skilled songsmith and guitarist by playing, recording and touring since the age of 16. The tracks on Party of One range from the full-band-power-pop that people have come to expect from Jeremy to quieter, darker and acoustic songs. Available January 2010 on CD and in iTunes!

News

Aug 21, 2010  It was quite a Spring and Summer, playing over 20 dates across the country. It was the longest tour I've ever done and it went really well. Big thanks to everyone who helped out or came out to the shows! I met some great people and saw lots of friends I haven't seen in ages. Back in Detroit I was honored to open for The Orbitsuns on back-to-back Saturdays and had a great time at both shows. Those guys are amazing - go see `em!

Next weekend I am stoked for the first Fidrych show since the Blowout! We're playing at Small's in Hamtramck - one of my favorite rooms in town. Opening the show is Hardeaux & Jeff's new band Sedna and closing are The Prime Ministers, so it's gonna be a good`un. After that it's a warm-up show for my first ever mini-tour of Canada at the Plymouth Coffee Bean on September 3rd, then off to the Great White North for 3 shows. Try to make it to the Fidrych gig or the Coffee Bean show - they might be the last ones for a bit!

Apr 14, 2010  Check out the new video for Fountains HERE. The tune was originally done by The Nils and was the bonus track on The OffRamps - Split The Difference record, but I stripped it down and have been playing it out on the road. This was recorded and mostly shot in Pittsburgh with some footage from Boston and St Louis too. Check out The Nils. You won't be sorry.

Apr 13, 2010  The East Coast leg of the Party of One tour is over. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported! Heading out to the Midwest in May-can't wait!

Jan 31, 2010  The new record is out and in the hands of a few folks. It will be available in iTunes and for purchase online very soon. Huge thanks to everyone who helped out by playing on it, recording it, helping with the art and photography, and everything else that went into it. Also - thanks to everybody who came out to the record release show in Plymouth on Friday. The turnout was great and we had a great time.

I'll be supporting the record with some East Coast shows in April that are being finalized as we speak, and plenty of Midwest and South dates soon. Manwhile - Fidrych has a show in Ypsi in a couple weeks and a return to the Hamtramck Blowout in March, See you then!

Dec 12, 2009  I am stoked to be playing the Alex Chilton Birthday Bash again this year! It's at the Empty Bottle in Chicago on Monday December 28th.

August 20, 2009  Recording is underway on the debut solo record! I've got some old friends helping me out with some tracks and a bunch of new tunes. Stay tuned!

June 1, 2009  Announcing the Summer mini-tour dates! Can't wait to get back to Chicago and St. Louis, and really looking forward to playing Nashville and Tulsa for the first time!

Mar 1, 2009  Introducting Fidrych. Brian and Steve from Porchleeper are joining forces with former OffRamps Jason and I. The new band will debut at the Hamtramck Blowout this Thursday. I am looking forward to many shows with these guys!
